It�s a great pleasure to invite you to this year�s APIPA Conference on Saipan. This is the organization�s 19th annual event � a prelude to next year�s milestone 20 years � and our office�s third hosting of the event since its formation.

Accountability is not only critical to a well functioning government and society, it is also everyone�s business. This year�s conference will offer training sessions on auditing and governmental accounting and offer opportunities for cross-communication and cross-training. Thanks to Stephen Latimer and Jason Aubuchon at the Graduate School, USDA�s PITI program and their staff and consultants, participants at this year�s conference can choose from varied technical sessions ranging from �Risk-based Performance Audit Project Planning� to �Increasing Your Fraud Awareness� to �Ethical Decision-Making for Auditors and Finance Officers�.
